Advance Care Planning

Office of the Public Guardian services for adults
The Office of the Public Guardian has fact sheets in various languages, which explain how its service provides for adults with impaired decision making capacity.
Domestic and family violence
The Australian Government has ‘family safety packs’ in 46 languages and provide information on a range of family and domestic violence issues, including issues specific to people from diverse cultural background.
Accessing an immediate phone interpreter
Non-English speakers can use the Translating and Interpreting Service to access immediate phone interpreters or make a booking. Most of the time this will be free to access. There are some factsheets accessible via the website which help explain many of the common questions and are available in a variety of languages.
